Visual Shop - E
"Software as a service"

A subscription based version of Visual Shop.

Run Visual Shop on any PC with an Internet connection!

All you need is Internet access, we take care of the rest.

Benefits of Visual Shop E:

Reduced Capital Investment:
• Customers get access to best of breed technology at significantly lower costs because infrastructure costs are shared by multiple companies, and customers pay for what they use.
• Payment is made on a subscription basis. There are no large, upfront capital costs for hardware, software or installations.
• Because access to all products and services is through the Internet, there are no large implementation fees or computer upgrade expenses.

Low Maintenance Requirements:
• No system maintenance is ever required on the customer's behalf - CSI performs all system maintenance.
• No upgrades to install - customers get automatic access to upgrades immediately after they are released

Visual Shop E is NOT for everyone!

We want you to know the facts.

We want you to make an informed decision!

We started Visual Shop E in 2000 and have several users on it, but it is not for everyone!

CSI Recommends: Limit Visual Shop E to companies that do no more then 30 orders a day, don’t do many pictures, don’t scan many documents, and have less then 5 users per location. To exceed these limits would be to much traffic for a public Internet connection and would result in poor performance.

The problem with most Internet connections is that the upload speed is usually a lot slower then the download speed. For example: The fastest AT&T DSL for business in our area costs $94.00 per month (August 2007) and offers maximum speeds of up to; 768 kbps upload / 6 Mbps download. So uploading pictures and scanned documents back to the server can really slow things down. For example: How long does it take you to upload 50 pictures to the Internet? Also when your order count goes up, the number of documents being download to the printer increases which also slows things down. The remedy for this is normally a T1 line or other high speed dedicated connection but then the total cost per month makes purchasing the software and hardware more cost effective.

While there is a lot of hype on subscription based software. Most of the successful products are not mission critical and are aimed at people/companies that need to access data while outside the office. Salesforce.com is the perfect example.

Visual Shop is a mission critical application designed to help you manage what goes on inside your shop. Most of our customers don’t have an Internet store and they don’t have 50 sales offices. Most everything occurs inside the plant. So the benefits of Visual Shop E is the cost savings and convenience of not having to purchase and manage your own server and database. This you must weigh against the problems of operating remotely via the public Internet.

If you are within the limits described above and want easy access to Visual Shop with little or now hardware investment, then Visual Shop E might be the solution for you.
